The two-day event will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon on November 11 and 12.

Organised by Scott Media, the summit is designed to connect business owners directly with members of the national press. It focuses on practical storytelling and removing what organisers describe as unnecessary public relations jargon.

Among the headline speakers is Jo Riley, a journalist with more than 25 years’ experience. As head of Bav Media, she has secured thousands of stories in national newspapers and broadcast outlets worldwide.

She has worked closely with photographer Geoff Robinson for more than two decades. Together, they have achieved more than 16,000 published stories and images across global platforms.

John Boitnott will travel from the United States to speak at the Swindon event. His attendance signals what organisers say is a growing international profile for the summit.

Claudia Redmond will also address delegates. Her career includes roles with major broadcasters such as ITV, BBC, Sky News and Channel 4.

She is known for her work across arts and entertainment and will share insight into how stories translate across television and digital platforms.

During the summit, attendees will be able to pitch ideas directly to a panel of five working journalists. Organisers say this will give business owners immediate feedback on potential stories.

Professional media assets, including photography for branding and press kits, will also be offered as part of the programme.

The event is led by Fiona Scott.

Fiona said:

“This summit is about connecting the business community and the newsroom. Bringing together such a high calibre of national and international journalists provides our delegates with a rare opportunity to learn exactly what makes a story fly.

“Last year showed us just how much appetite there is for this direct, ‘no BS’ approach to PR. We are thrilled to be expanding the event this November, helping more entrepreneurs find their voice and secure the media recognition they deserve.”

The No BS Media Summit is continuing to build its presence within Swindon’s business community, offering entrepreneurs the chance to engage directly with national media professionals.
