Swindon Town Centre’s Big Christmas Lights Switch On is this Saturday!

Don’t forget to head into Swindon Town Centre this Saturday 17th November for the annualChristmas Lights Switch On, which kicks off inSwindon Town Centre BID’s Festival of Lights. Tinchy Stryder is headlining the main stage and Swindon’s own soul artist Jahmene Douglas will open the show at 5pm.

A fantastic show is planned with local acts such as Voice Kids Finalist Lilia Slattery, Tap Attack featured on Britain’s Got Talent, Voice Kids Phoebe Maddison and Swindon Dance followed by a spectacular fireworks finale at 6pm, subject to weather conditions.

The Festival of Lights will see more illuminations than ever before across the town centre, including a magical LED Interactive Teddy Bear in The Parade, all designed to guide families around the town centre whilst simultaneously showcasing the great range of national and independent stores, food and drink venues and leisure activities the town has to offer.

Running from 17th November to 31st December 2018, visitors can enjoy an enchanting light trail:

The Parade
Giant Interactive Teddy Bear – a great attraction for kids of all ages.

Bridge Street
Glittery Giant Baubles shimmering with led lights – a great spot for those enjoying a night out to snap and share a group selfie!

Theatre Square
A beautiful LED waterfall/fountain will be shining bright – a great spot for a ‘romantic’ selfie!

Havelock Square
Santa’s sleigh with its very own illuminated reindeer is ideal for your magical ‘family’ selfie!

Regent Circus
A sparkling 20ft Christmas Tree can be seen from afar bringing Christmas  tradition to the light trail brought to you by Regent Circus.

The Brunel Shopping Centre
The Kiss is a great interactive way to grab a kiss under the mistletoe this Christmas, brought to you by The Brunel Shopping Centre.

The Parade – Interactive Teddy Bear

Havelock Square – Santa’s sleigh & Reindeer

Come into town early to see the Christmas characters roaming around the town centre, grab a bite to eat, browse the Pop-Up Christmas Artisan Market in Havelock Square and wrap up warm to take in the fantastic show inSwindon BID have got planned for you.
