Police are appealing for information following an assault in Lawn, Swindon.

The incident happened outside the shops in Guildford Avenue at 12.50pm on Tuesday 21 March 2017.

A woman aged in her 40s was approached by a man who pushed her to the ground. She sustained a broken wrist which is likely to require pins.

A 47-year-old man who is from the Swindon area has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

PC Dan Travis said: “This was a nasty incident which left the victim with a significant break to her wrist. She is facing a lengthy recovery process.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the Guildford Avenue area around lunch time on Tuesday 21 March – did you see the incident take place? We’d like to hear from you.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
