Witnesses sought after purse stolen in Swindon shop

Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a woman’s pursue was taken from her handbag in a Swindon store.

The incident happened on Saturday 21 January 2017 at approximately 1.30pm in Poundland on Havelock Square.

The purse contained an amount of cash, a debit card and various loyalty cards.

A CCTV image of two women officers would like to speak to in relation to this incident is attached.

PC Emma Minty said:  “We would like to speak to anyone who may have been shopping in Poundland or in the Havelock Square area on this date and around this time.

“If you saw or heard anything suspicious or anyone acting suspiciously please contact me.”
