Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a pursuit in Swindon.
Around 1pm on Thursday 13 October 2016 a grey Mazda 6 drove away from officers after they tried to stop the car in the Broadgreen area.
Officers pursued the car which then drove down Manchester Road, then County Road, turned left onto Great Western Way, at Transfer Bridges, where it weaved in and out of the lanes down to the North Star Avenue roundabout.
The car then apparently lost control and collided with the side of a stationary Vauxhall Vivaro van waiting at the roundabout to turn out of North Star Avenue.
The occupants of the car then got out and ran off.
A 21-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.
He’s been released on unconditional bail.
Lorna Jackman, local crime investigator, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this car driving at speed along this route and/or the collision with the van.
“We’d also like to hear from any motorists who may have captured the incident on their dashcam.”
“If you can help, please come forward.”
If you can help with our enquiries please contact Lorna Jackman on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
