Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a spate of incidents in which tyres were slashed on vehicles in Toothill, West Swindon.
Between 5pm on 31 December and 8am on 1 January, a Mercedes Benz had its rear tyre slashed while parked on a driveway in Luddesdown Road, Toothill.
Between 3.45pm on 31 December and 8.15am on 2 January, a Skoda had its front and rear tyres slashed while parked in Rhuddlan.
A Volkswagen had all four tyres slashed while parked at the Toothill Community Centre between midday on 31 December and 11.20am on 1 January.
A Vauxhall Tigra parked in the same area also had tyres slashed and was badly scratched during the evening of New Year’s Eve.
During the same time period, a Toyota Avensis parked in Alnwick was damaged with all four tyres slashed.
PC Steve Harding said: “We believe all these incidents are linked and are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious behaviour in the Toothill area overnight on New Year’s Eve to get in touch – information you have could help progress our investigation to find those responsible.
“These types of crimes are mindless and cause expense and inconvenience to the victims.”
