Wiltshire Police received a number of reports from witnesses to an incident which occurred near to the County Ground in Swindon yesterday.
At approximately 6.30pm on 6 September, a man was seen cycling along Shrivenham Road adjacent to the County Ground when he was attacked by four youths who assaulted him with sticks.
The man managed to cycle off after the youths ran off towards the County Ground. Officers attended the scene and four youths were located.
Two males have been arrested on suspicion of affray, one has been arrested on suspicion of affray and assaulting an officer, and another has been arrested on suspicion of affray and racially aggravated Section 5 Public Order Act.
All the males are 14 and from Swindon. They were taken to Gablecross custody where they remain.
PC Stuart McWilliams said: “Although we had several reports from members of the public who witnessed this nasty incident, we have not received a report from the victim himself and we have not been able to locate him.
