A moped rider has been assaulted as he was riding out of the car park at Asda, Orbital Shopping Centre.

Around 5pm on Monday 1 May 2017, the rider was pulled off his bike by an unknown male as he stopped by the roundabout next to the petrol station. The male then punched and kicked the rider as he lay on the floor before members of the public came to the victim’s aid.

The victim suffered a graze to his shoulder and concussion.

Sgt James Neighbour said:  “We’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident on bank holiday Monday.
“This is a busy shopping area in broad daylight – someone must have seen something.”

If you can help with our enquiries please contact Sgt James Neighbour on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
