One of Swindon’s best known office buildings is now benefiting from a £2M investment in its future success.
Formerly known as Tri-Centre 3 and rebranded 3 Newbridge Square, the building has a major refurbishment programme underway to transform 44,000 sq ft of available office space, and includes a new reception area, a new business hub and break-out facilities.
Asset and Property Managers, FI Real Estate Management (FIREM), say they want to raise the bar in terms of the town’s office provision to both local businesses and relocating companies, creating a new standard of working environment for Swindon.
FIREM’s Senior Asset Manager for 3 Newbridge Square, David Thwaites commented that following the letting of the two top floors to AECOM at 16,500 sq ft earlier this year, the decision was taken to refurbish the remaining floors to provide high quality workspace which will take advantage of proximity to Swindon’s rail station and the benefits of the electrification of the railway from 2019. This will significantly reduce commuting times from Swindon to London Paddington, Reading and Bristol Parkway.
Joint letting agents for 3 Newbridge Square are Smethurst Property Consultants and Cushman & Wakefield who are quoting rentals at the building of £17.50 per sq ft.
Commercial interiors firm Claremont has designed and is project managing the works, which are due for completion by the end of April 2017.
