The M4 is fully closed between J13 and J11 after a lorry carrying bleach and oil has overturned.
Work is continuing to clear up the spilled diesel and bleach from the motorway.
Diversion are in place and normal levels of traffic aren’t expected to return until late afternoon today, 4th November.
According to a firefighter from Caversham Road fire station the lorry was carrying bottles of domestic bleach, which have spilt onto the carriageway.
Highways England have said that once the lorry has been removed they will be able to assess the full extent of the damage and decide whether they need to resurface the carriageway.
If you haven’t already made different travel plans, we should suggest you do as soon as possible.
