Barratt and David Wilson Homes provided the funding to Highworth Warneford School, close to its Honeymans Helm development in the town.
The titles were selected by the school librarian, who chose a broad mix to appeal to different ages and abilities. The school said the donation will help widen its offering, with each book adding something new to the shelves.
Sophie Hesten, Principal at Highworth Warneford School, said:
“Reading for pleasure is an important part of our curriculum and this has been a fantastic donation which has enabled us to extend our library provision.”
Campbell Gregg, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said: “We’re delighted to support Highworth Warneford School with this donation. Encouraging young people to develop a love of reading is vital and it’s great to know these new books will spark imaginations and inspire learning for years to come.
“As a leading developer, we’re proud to help the community around our Honeymans Helm development enhance their education.”
