Swindon-based First City Nursing is holding a Fun Day at their headquarters on Darby Close on Saturday 2 September.
Taking place from 12pm until 10pm, the Fun Day at First City House is a thank-you to everyone in the health and social care sector and is open to all of those who work in the industry in Swindon.
The day will be officially opened by Justin Tomlinson MP and there will be music and games throughout the day, with local bands and performers including The Ultimate Band, Alex Taylor, Runaway Boys, and Bowie tribute band Rebel Heroes, amongst many others. There will also be a number of stalls and activities for all the family to enjoy.
Stephen Trowbridge, managing director of First City Nursing, said: “We don’t get to stop and say thank-you enough to all the hundreds of people who work in Swindon’s health and care sector for all of the vital work they do.
“The Fun Day is a chance for our carers, support workers, support planners, managers and everyone else who provides care for those in our community to let their hair down a little. Having moved into our new headquarters we now have the space in order to invite people to have a good time with us and that’s what we plan to do!
“There will also be competitions throughout the day, including a limbo challenge and three-legged races, as well as a bouncy castle, hog roast, henna tattoo stall and ice cream van.”
Tickets for the Fun Day are free, however attendees must present proof that they work in the care sector and book tickets in advance. It will be held at First City House, 114 Darby Close, Swindon SN2 2PN.
