Drugs warrant executed on house in Swindon

Wiltshire Police officers have carried out a section 23 Misuse of Drugs warrant on a property in Dixon Street yesterday (Thursday 6 April 2017).

The search was carried out around 9am and approximately one kilo of cannabis was discovered in a suitcase.

The case, along with other items including: digital scales, an iPad and mobile phone were seized.

A 21-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class B drug.   He has been released “under investigation” without bail (see explanation in Notes to Editors).

PC Simon Sanghera said: “This warrant was carried out thanks to good intelligence given by the local community.

“Our message is: we will always act on any information given to us; rest assured we will act on any concerns from those living in Swindon.
