The first phase of surfacing at Greenbridge Roundabout is well underway, but is expected to over-run by a couple of days, as the surfacing contractor had issues with the material supplier. It is hoped the work will be completed by the end of next week.
With children returning to school from Monday, motorists should leave extra time for their journeys or make use of alternative routes to avoid likely delays. The second phase of the surfacing will take place next month between Monday, 21 November and Friday, 9 December.
As well as the surfacing this week, the Council’s contractor will continue to build the traffic island and install the kerbing on Dorcan Way towards Greenbridge. Footpath, kerbing and landscaping work will also be carried out on Drakes Way.
