Student Lock Down event returns tomorrow in Swindon town centre

The second exclusive Student Lock Down Event in Swindon town centre will begin tomorrow, Monday 1st October from 6-8pm. All students from across Swindon and Wiltshire are invited!

Student Lockdown - Swindon - 2018

The 2017 event attracted almost 200 students, all bagging bargains from stores across the town centre as well as goody bags and the chance to enjoy some live entertainment from local acts.

Topshop Store Manager, Tanya Peters said “The students loved the competitions in store and the whole evening was buzzing last year. We can’t wait to do it all again this year!”

The first 300 to register on the night will receive a FREE student goodie bag and for 2018, all students who attend will receive a wristband which entitles them up to 20% discounts in participating stores across the town centre.

inSwindon BID CEO, Di Powell said “We’re so excited to be bringing back the Student Lock Down event for a second year. This is a chance for students to get together and take advantage of some fantastic offers right here in Swindon town centre and really make a night of it.”

  • Lush
  • Schuh

  • The Fragrance Shop

  • Topshop / Topman

And there’s more. A Live DJ, live music acts, freebies and prizes will feature across the night, all in the name of fashion. Why not shop ‘til you drop then recharge with a meal and drinks at one of the participating restaurants and outlets with friends. The Crossing food outlets & Regent Circus restaurants will be open.

Jane Stewart, Acting Centre Manager at The Brunel said “The Brunel and Crossing businesses are looking forward to being part of the Student Lock Down event and welcoming students to the centre on October 1st.”

Registration is on the night only and completely free at The Crossing via the escalator at The Brunel Shopping Centre from 6pm.
