Kevin Saunders, inSwindon Street Team Ambassador Supervisor said:

“This is an exciting initiative for the Street Team, we are looking forward to engaging with shoppers and giving them an on the spot surprise – we have lots of ideas up our sleeve!”

The Street Team Ambassadors play a vital role in the town centre.  They patrol the town centre 7 days a week and offer visitors, shoppers and workers a friendly welcome and provide help and guidance on all aspects of the town centre.  Whether its directions, public transport advice, first aid support or any information on the town centre businesses, nothing is too much trouble so please look out for them – you can’t miss them in their shiny new uniforms!

You can also sign up for the town centre FREE Loyalty Card with the Ambassadors – it’s now available to download direct from the town centre website www.swindontowncentre.co.uk  to receive immediate discounts and offers throughout the town centre!

The Ambassadors also support the town centre businesses and are the eyes and ears of the town centre.  The radio network scheme is operated by the Street Team and over 100 businesses are members of the scheme which assists in the reduction of business crime and anti-social behaviour.

Di Powell, inSwindon Town Centre BID Chief Executive Said:

“Next week’s Random Acts of Kindness Day is all about going the extra mile for our town centre visitors. Our Street Team ambassadors will spend the whole day making your shopping experience a day to remember.”

Don’t be afraid to say hi, if you spot our guys in red! You may be in for an unexpected treat with a free chocolate treat or free carparking.

“We are very proud of our town centre Ambassadors and all the great work they do.  We have introduced a new uniform that is clearly branded making the team more approachable and easily identifiable to visitors.

If you are one of the lucky ones to receive an act of kindness from the street team ambassadors, don’t forget to take a photo and share your experience via inSwindon Facebook or Twitter sites.
