A new way of eating has opened at The Crossing in The Brunel shopping centre.

The first of the store’s locations in the South West, Broccoli Pizza and Pasta, offers healthy food, made right in front of you, exactly how you want it.

There are hundreds of different combinations on offer, with eight types of pasta, five sauces and countless vegetable and meat combinations to top it all off with.  Pizza slices, whole pizzas, lasagnes and breakfast options are also available.

New to the UK, having originated in Dubai, franchisee Prakash Guna believes that Broccoli Pizza and Pasta will cater for those who want fresh, healthy food with choice.

All items are made at The Crossing that day and meals prepared in front of the customer.

This is also Prakash’s first venture into the restaurant business, having been a researcher into cancer at the University of Oxford.

Prakash explained: “We use top quality, fresh ingredients and we don’t compromise on the taste.  With each dish taking approximately three to four minutes to prepare, Broccoli Pizza and Pasta offers a quick and easy choice for those looking for something healthier.  We can also tailor according to the customer’s preference too, so if you don’t like lots of oil used in your cooking, then we can only use a little.

“We’ll be open when The Brunel is open – so you can get your breakfast with us from our menu of baked Italian eggs, omelette, scrambled or fried eggs, and we’ll soon be launching a delivery service too. Everything including the pasta and bread is prepared from scratch on site.  However despite the name we don’t have broccoli in everything, although you could choose it if you want to!

“Swindon is an ideal choice to continue Broccoli Pizza and Pasta’s expansion.  The town centre and The Crossing in particular have a good number of shoppers passing by and with all the activities planned in The Crossing it will be an exciting and vibrant place to be.”

Jane Stewart, Deputy Manager of The Brunel, added: “It’s great that Broccoli Pizza and Pasta has chosen The Crossing to start its expansion into the UK.  The Crossing is fast becoming the food destination of choice for lunchtime shoppers and those working in Swindon town centre with new outlets now offering even more choice.

We’re sure that Broccoli Pizza and Pasta’s filling and tasty meals, served in a matter of minutes, will be popular with our shoppers.  Having tried it ourselves we can confirm the choices are vast and the food is really good.”

Swindon has been crying out for new arrivals to add something different to what is already available, especially in the town centre.

It provides consumers with a different option and we’ll be sure to check it out and let you know how we found out visit.

There are plenty of restaurants in Swindon, so it will be interesting to see how Broccoli Pizza and Pasta’s gets on.
