This weekend (1 and 2 July), Lotmead Farm Pick Your Own will be hosting the Strawberry Drive Classic Car and Motor weekend in conjunction with Mike Allen Services and Wiltshire Jaguar Centre.

The weekend will also be celebrating Mike Allen Services and Wiltshire Jaguar Centre’s first anniversary and a selection of classic Jaguars will be on show, including a Jaguar XJS convertible, and 1976 XJC and an XJ40, amongst others.

Paul Titheradge took over on 1 July 2016 and extended the garage’s specialism to include all models of modern and classic Jaguars.  Paul is a Jaguar Master Technician with over 17 years of expertise, including winning the title of Jaguar Technician of the Year in 2009.

Paul said: “Across Mike Allen Services and Wiltshire Jaguar Centre we service and MOT all makes and models of cars, with a real passion and specialism for Jaguars.

Since taking over a year ago, we’ve gone from strength to strength and we’re looking forward to celebrating a successful first year at Strawberry Drive.”

The weekend is also open for any classic car or classic vehicle owners to come over to Lotmead and show them off too.

Anyone taking part with a vehicle will also be able to pick strawberries for half price on the day too.

Lotmead owner Norman Parry added: “We’ve held Strawberry Drive for a number of years and it is always a great day for everyone from classic car enthusiasts to those just wanting to see something a bit different and enjoy a day in the open air.

“Lotmead has always had an interest in vintage cars and vehicles and when the opportunity arose to combine the weekend with Paul’s anniversary celebrations, we just couldn’t resist.

“The weekend is also open for anyone to bring their own classic vehicles along too, and if you do, you’ll benefit from 50% off your strawberries.”

Strawberry Drive is free to enter and takes place from 10.30am until 5pm each day over the weekend.

Soft fruit will be available to pick, with strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants and broad beans currently in season.

The play area, small animal enclosure, nature trail and dairy parlour will also be open, with entry at £1.50 per person over 5 years of age, or annual family passes are just £15 for unlimited entry over the season for up to two adults and three children.

For more information on Lotmead, visit www.lotmead.co.uk or to find out the latest opening times and fruit availability, call 01793 790137.
