Attempted robbery in Gorse Hill – witness appeal

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery which took place in Gorse Hill, Swindon.

Around 11.50pm on Wednesday 25 October 2017 on the walkway between Cricklade Road and Carpenters Lane, a woman was approached by three unknown males who demanded she hand over her handbag.

They then grabbed the bag but she managed to hold on to it and ran off unhurt; although she was badly shaken.

PC Joseph Rees said:  “We’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard this incident or anyone who may have CCTV in this area – if you can help, please come forward.”
