Attempted robbery on Drakes Way

Wiltshire Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in Swindon.

The incident happened on Wednesday 11 October at approximately 4.35pm on Drakes Way, Swindon.

A man, in his 60s, was approached and surrounded by five teenagers whilst riding his bike; they quickly became threatening and removed the saddle demanding that the victim hand over his bike.

PC Jess Hopton said: “The group was last seen heading in the direction of Frobisher Drive after a local resident came to the man’s aid.

“We would like to speak to anyone locally who may have heard or saw anything suspicious in the area at this time.”
