Simon Belcher will begin his 2026 campaign at Wyboston Lakes, with the opening round of the British Championship taking place on 25th and 26th April at Ride Leisure in Bedfordshire.
The Swindon racer heads into the new season as the reigning British, European, World Finals and World Series champion following a dominant 2025.
Competing in the elite Pro Sport GP category, he will once again race on a Miller Racing Edition Yamaha Waveblaster 3.
The craft is powered by a 1,500cc four stroke engine and can reach speeds of up to 70mph, accelerating from 0 to 60mph in under three seconds.

Belcher, who is ranked world number one, faces increased pressure this year as rivals look to challenge the sport’s leading rider.
Speaking ahead of the opening round, Belcher said:
“It is great to be back again in 2026 with all my sponsors and partners back on board for another exciting year of Jet Sport racing.
My main focus this year will be the WGP#1 World Series, with rounds in Europe, USA and Asia once again. It is a true international tour taking in three of the biggest events in the sport.”
Alongside his international commitments, he will also contest the six-round British Championship series.
Events are scheduled to take place in Liverpool, Sutton Coldfield, Sheffield, Nottingham and King’s Lynn during the summer, before the finale in September.

He added:
“The British Championship is going from strength to strength with more prizes, media and professionalism than ever before and I will continue to support what our national organisation are doing to grow the sport and develop the new World Champions of the future.”
Belcher’s 2026 campaign is supported by Webb Eco, AVOS Watersports, Liqui Moly, Finch Signs and Jetshed.
With multiple titles to defend and a busy international calendar ahead, the Swindon businessman begins the new season as the rider to beat.
