If you want your business to be successful, customer satisfaction is extremely important.
You’re going to need to make sure your customers are getting the level of service they want and expect; particularly when it comes to delivery.

freight parcel delivery

Over the past decade, parcel deliveries have changed significantly. After the introduction of
next day parcel delivery services, consumers have come to expect to receive their goods in
record time.

Here, we’ll look at how soon customers want their parcel to be delivered and the importance of offering multiple delivery options.

How quickly do customers want their parcels?

from a company which provides delivery in more than two days. There are also shoppers who expect to be able to order next day deliveries.

This has been largely down to big brands such as Amazon kicking off the trend with their Prime deliveries.

The importance of offering multiple options

While consumers are largely happy to wait up to three days for standard delivery, they also
expect to have multiple options available to them.

Giving them a choice of when they’d like to receive their parcel is important to a staggering 91% of shoppers.

Ideally, businesses should offer next day, standard and exact delivery window slots. Being
able to control exactly when the parcel gets there can make a big difference to your
customers.

What other factors are important?

When searching for couriers to use through Parcel2Go, it isn’t just speed you need to focus
on. There are other factors important to customers when it comes to delivery.

These include:

  • Tracking
  • Returns
  • Reliability

Giving customers the ability to track their parcels is also important. It provides reassurance
about where their parcel is and gives some indication of when it will arrive.

Being able to return parcels easily is also expected, alongside reliability. It’s tempting to go with the cheapest courier, but if they aren’t reliable you
