Formerly a Yates, the venue has undergone a complete transformation and is set to be the town’s go-to pub destination, offering traditional British food, cocktails and over 30 gins for customers to choose from.

The new design has brought the pub up to date, featuring a mixture of leather and fabric upholstery, sports themed wall art and rustic backbar displays to create a homely atmosphere. By night, the pub will have a designated dance floor, as well as a panelled DJ booth and VIP sectioned areas which will make guests nights one to remember.

What’s more, with all-new TV booths fitted with the latest plasma screen TV’s, the pub will provide the ultimate match experience for sports fans, including the Champions League Final showing live from 8pm on opening night. Not only that, with beer garden season underway, the revamped outdoor area is a great place to kick off a summer of sport.

The Wyvern Tavern will be the destination of choice for gin enthusiasts, with the pub’s extensive gin collection boasting over 30 different blends, from classics such as Gordon’s and Tanqueray to more unusual infusions such as Bow Violet and Unicorn gin Liqueur.

Beer buffs can also sample some of the best real ales in the area, including Abor and Electric Bear. The pub will also be part of the Good Beer Guide, meaning customers will have many beers and brews at their fingertips.

The new food menu features pub classics that customers will crave, whether that’s fish and chips, burgers, Saturday Sharers or a traditional Sunday roast to end the week. 2-4-1 desserts throughout the week are also sure to tempt those with a sweet tooth.

Peter Sadler, General Manager of the Wyvern Tavern, said: “We can’t wait to unveil the new pub to the people of Swindon. With events on throughout the week, the Wyvern Tavern offers something for everyone, whether it’s a catch up over cocktails or a big night out. We’ll be offering beer and cider tasting on our VIP night on 7th June, where we’ll be introducing the new look and our favourite local brews to customers new and existing.”
