The pop-up shop stocked handbags, suitcases, purses and scarves with all proceeds going to Brighter Futures. It was busy all weekend, with shoppers of all ages popping in and the sales counter was manned by the team from Brighter Futures and local volunteers.

Brighter Futures also sold raffle tickets to win four designer handbags and drew the raffle over the weekend. The raffle tickets amounted to £366 of the total figure.

Michelle Leighton, Community and Events Fundraising Manager for Brighter Futures, said: “This was a really enjoyable event and we are absolutely over the moon with the amount of money that was raised.

“Thank you so much to all who donated bags to be sold, and to every shopper who popped in over the weekend and helped support us.”
