Haines Watts Swindon has seen healthy expansion over the last year and have just welcomed two new staff to support their continuing growth.

HWS team

Marketing specialist Anna-Marie Healy has joined the team based at Old Station House in Old Town, Swindon as their new office manager.

With a background in project management and marketing, which included more than a decade working in the pharmaceutical sector, Anna is embracing her new role.

“Becoming a member of the Haines Watts Swindon team has been fantastic; everybody has been extremely welcoming. I am really looking forward to helping the business grow by focussing on two main areas – marketing and business transformation. By aligning our team, implementing new processes and online systems we will further enhance client experience”

Born and raised in Swindon, Anna is a former pupil of St Joseph’s School and continues to live in Stratton where she grew up. Anna has big shoes to fill; she takes on the role from Christine Baker who worked for Haines Watts Swindon for 25 years and who retired at end of 2018.

Also joining the team is Jas Athwal. Jas, who previously worked with another Wiltshire accountancy practice, has joined the team as an audit and accounts assistant. She is originally from Slough, moving to Swindon two years ago when she married her husband Micky.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be part of this team. I’m excited about the potential for my own personal development and hope to soon be studying for my ACCA qualifications.”

Joining Haines Watts Swindon shortly will be a new audit and accounts senior.

Managing Partner Mike Lloyd said: “It’s been great to welcome Anna and Jas to the team. They have both slotted into their roles really quickly and bonded easily with their new colleagues. We were incredibly sad to see Chris leave us after so many years and I cannot thank her enough for her dedication and support over many years. We wish her a very happy retirement.”

Haines Watts Swindon has been at the centre of Swindon business community for last 25 years. The team have worked with many of their clients throughout that period, including well-known local businesses, Hyundai and Suzuki main dealer Pebley Beach; groundwork and demolition company David Horton Contractors Limited and estate and letting agents Charles Harding.

Recently they  have been providing their expertise  to new clients which include P& B Weir Electrical in Corsham, event production agency Corporate Event Services Limited, Power Tee who are worldwide market leaders in automated teeing technology for golf driving ranges, and Recycling Technologies who are developing equipment to recycle plastics currently sent to landfill.

“This is already shaping up to be an exciting year for Haines Watts Swindon,” Mike said.

“We are growing and expanding our client base as well as working in collaboration with other organisations.”
