Wiltshire Police are appealing for information from the public following a burglary at a bar in Swindon.

Between approximately 6am and 7am on Sunday 6 January, a man forced his way into Bryon’s Wine Bar in Byron Street, Regent Circus, causing extensive damage to the door.

Once inside, he attempted to break in to the pool table and cash registers, causing significant amounts of damage in the process.

It is believed he was disturbed when the alarms were activated and then left the scene.

PC Connor Crespin said: “This incident has left the bar owner feeling understandably shaken and concerned.

“We are fully investigating this incident and would ask that anyone who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area around these times on Sunday, should call police immediately.

“Regent Circus is a busy area and it is likely there would have been people around the area at the time.”

Call 101 and quote crime reference number 54190001628.
