ImmotionVR, the UK’s largest group of virtual reality (VR) experience centres, have announced the opening of a new VR Experience Centre in Swindon’s Brunel Shopping Centre.

In a first for Swindon, families can travel virtually from the bottom of the ocean to the top of the Universe (and everything in between) and what’s great for parents is experiences start from just £5!

ImmotionVR’s fully immersive VR experiences take place in self-contained motion simulators, which delivers incredible virtual reality content, with stunning wrap-around sound and multi-directional movement.

Key VR experiences include:

JINXED – Take a ride on our virtual ghost train JINXED, where you will descend into the strange workings of a jinxed mind. Our very own master of mystery will entertain you as you travel through his strange and captivating world. Despite being safely enclosed in your own VR Cinema Pod, thrillseekers might want to hold on as the wheels on this ghost train come very close to coming off the rails. Prepare to be Jinxed… if you dare.

DeltaZero – Base Zero has received a distress signal from its mining planet. No one knows why. Delta Squadron is sent on a mission to uncover the mystery and YOU are a key member of that team. Head into deep space on an action-packed ride that takes you across distant galaxies, hurtling through asteroid fields and into epic space battles. Prepare for edge of your seat encounters as your team attempt to save civilisation from the threat of advanced alien technology. For the video trailer: https://vimeo.com/282660813/cdae6e1c0f

Legend of Lusca – An amazing sub-sea adventure in your very own mini-sub, with a surprise or two along the way, as you explore corals, shipwrecks and the mysteries of the deep. For the video trailer: https://vimeo.com/284915702/6f718b02bb

Arek Antoniak, Head of Retail Operations at ImmotionVR, said, “We’re excited to be opening in Swindon. We’ll be offering families a unique type of experience, with cutting-edge VR that will be a great addition to the shopping district, creating new experiences where the possibilities are literally endless. From young to old, VR will take you to new worlds or provide a new twist on familiar tales. We’re expecting a busy first few weeks, so booking ahead of time is recommended. With a host of different experiences, we can guarantee you and your family the most intense and immersive illusion.”

Jane Stewart, Acting Centre Manager said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer visitors this virtual reality experience at The Brunel and the pods are already proving popular.  They are a great addition to our entertainment offering at The Crossing and are situated outside the new City Mazes escape rooms on the first floor of The Brunel Arcade, near to the lift.  Pods can be booked in advance, see immotionvr.com.”

For a perfectly immersive VR experience, advance booking is recommended via: https://immotionvr.com/
