Man senteced for shoplifting in Swindon store

A man who stole a total of two thousand pounds worth of goods from a Swindon store has been sentenced.

James George (29), from Gloucester, pleaded guilty to stealing computer accessories from Wilko on Fleet Street on two separate dates – 26 March and 31 March 2018.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing two bottles of Methadone.

On 6 July, he was sentenced at Swindon Magistrates Court to 16 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.

He was also ordered to pay Wilko £750 compensation.
