A man in his 40s was assaulted in Swindon and we are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
The incident happened between 3.45am and 4.15am on Monday 7 May.
The 44-year-old victim was walking along Cricklade Street towards Drove Road when he was assaulted.
He suffered cuts and bruises and a head injury as a result, and required medical treatment at the Great Western Hospital.
PC Darren Zerebecki said: “It is believed three people were involved in the assault – we are interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen them running along Cricklade Street or Bellevue Road in the early hours of the morning. This was Bank Holiday Monday so it is possible there were more people about than usual.
“Unfortunately, we do not have any descriptions of the offenders, but if you heard any kind of disorder in the area, please get in touch.”
Call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
