Wiltshire are appealing for information after a yellow dumper truck was stolen from a building site in Swindon.

At approximately 8.55pm on Friday 6 April, offenders entered the building compound in Linden Avenue and stole a yellow three ton Thwaites dumper truck from the site.

The vehicle was driven through wire fence panels causing damage.

The truck was then driven along Pinehurst Road and into Medlar Court in Pinehurst. It struck a number of parked vehicles causing substantial damage. Fortunately, nobody was injured as a result.

The vehicle was then driven across playing fields and abandoned on the green fields close to Tovey Road, where a number of people were seen running from the scene.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
