Wiltshire Police is appealing for information after a burglary at a property in Swindon where the woman living there was woken up by the two suspects.

The incident happened around 1am on Sunday 26 June 2017 at an address on Egerton Close.

The woman (in her 90s) woke to find two males in her property – the males then left but it wasn’t until the next day that the woman discovered she had been burgled.

Among the items taken were:

– Two gold wedding bands.
– A gold band with five diamonds across the top in a row and engraved inside with ‘I love and trust you.’
– A gold band with three diamonds and three mauve amethyst stones which were the top of the band.

PC Cassey Evans said:  “The woman has been left understandably extremely shaken by this and has received the support of her family and the Bobby Van.
“I would like to hear from anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious in this area at this time or who may have seen these items for sale.”

If anyone has any information in regards to the property taken or they saw anything suspicious in the area please call PC Cassey Evans on 101 or alternatively, if you do not wish to leave a name, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
