Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses after two groups of male youths (approx. 15 in each group) were seen carrying weapons and wearing masks.

The groups met in the Leigh Road area of Penhill and was reported to police by a number of residents; it took place around 8pm on Monday 10 July 2017.

Officers arrived soon afterwards to find the group had dispersed – some heading towards Penhill, some towards Pinehurst and some towards Pond Street in Haydon Wick.

A number of suspects were spoken to along with a search of the area but no weapons were found and no injuries have been reported.

PC Holly Moffat said:  “This happened in broad daylight and we have had a number of reports of what happened already.
“However, if you have information about this but have not yet contacted us please do so.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV coverage of the incident; please be assured your identity will be protected.”

If you can help with our enquiries please contact PC Holly Moffat on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
