Regency Residential has sold all 156 apartments in its award-winning Swindon development – selling phase 2 of the development, Electra House, in just over 6 months.

The property consultancy and advisory firm, part of MCR Property Group, begun a two- phase conversion of two separate disused office buildings in February 2015.

The apartments in both Guild House and Electra House – worth £19 million combined, sit side-by- side in Swindon town centre – have now all been sold on by Regency Residential.

It also comes after Guild House, boasting 89 apartments over six floors, and Electra House, containing 67 flats over six-storeys, were both recently awarded the LABC award for ‘Best flat conversion’.

Chris Taylor, Managing Director at Manchester-headquartered Regency Residential, said: “We are delighted to have sold all apartments at this fantastic high-specification residential development which comprises of two buildings – Guild House and Electra House.

“The scheme is situated in Swindon town centre within a mixed office and retail area and the property is within walking distance of the main shopping areas, the railway station and is also opposite the Brunel Shopping Centre car park.”

Chris added: “Rental apartments in Swindon are in short supply, so demand for units in Electra & Guild House has proven to be very high”

“The popularity of this scheme – which involved a build programme of just seven months -and the speed in which the apartments have been bought, highlights the demand for high quality, modern accommodation in this area of Swindon, and we are thrilled to be able to accommodate this.

As it stands Guild House is fully occupied while only a few units in Electra House aren’t currently lived in.”

Since launching in January this year as part of the residential sales division of MCR Property Group, Regency Residential has experienced exceptional success achieving over £20 million sales to both private investors and homeowners in the UK.

Including Electra and Guild House in Swindon – which are up for ‘Best Change of Use of an existing building or conversion’ at next month’s LABC Building Excellence Awards – Regency Residential has brought five residential development schemes to market in major UK towns and cities including Greater Manchester, Derby, Norwich and Edinburgh.
