Two men from Swindon have been jailed after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply class B drugs.
Shah Kamaly, aged 45, of Greenlands Road, and Richard Vincent, aged 47, of Penhill Drive, were sentenced last week at Manchester Crown Court.
On 24 February 2015, officers from the Dedicated Crime Team in Swindon conducted a drugs warrant in Greenlands Roads and recovered around two kilos of herbal cannabis.
Vincent was arrested after he was seen in the area, and during a subsequent search of his address in Penhill, a further four kilos of cannabis were recovered.
Kamaly was arrested at his place of work and in the subsequent searches of addresses, approximately £20,000 cash was recovered.
Detective Constable George Booth, of the Dedicated Crime Team, said: “The drugs recovered during the warrant and searches were destined for supply within Swindon to a number of identified cannabis dealers, and had a potential street value of over £60,000.
“The local investigation later joined up with an ongoing investigation by Greater Manchester Police with several others arrested for drug supply and money laundering. As a result, the case was heard in Manchester Crown Court, with both Kamaly and Vincent pleading guilty.”
Kamaly was sentenced to two years and nine months imprisonment while Vincent was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
