Britain could see some of the hottest temperatures recorded in September for 100 years.

These forecasted temperatures are well above the average for this time of year, with today being the start of the sunshine and high temperatures.

Clearer skies and warmer air are forecasted for the rest of this week, which should last up until the weekend.

Hold on to your sun cream and shorts for one more week before thinking of packing them up for 2016!
