The three-year agreement confirms Swindon as one of more than fifty locations across the UK offering dedicated, direct coach services to the national stadium. The service is intended to provide an alternative to driving, parking restrictions and concerns about catching the last train home.
Wembley Stadium attracts more than three million visitors each year for sporting fixtures, concerts and entertainment events. Under the renewed deal, National Express will continue running its Wembley Express services, with coaches arriving at the official coach park close to the stadium entrance.
Coaches will depart only once events have fully finished, including extra time, penalties and encore performances. This allows passengers to stay until the end without worrying about return travel.
John Boughton, Commercial Director for National Express, said the renewed partnership was focused on improving the fan experience.
“As the UK’s leading coach operator with the largest scheduled coach network, we have an excellent track record of providing reliable, comfortable and convenient coach travel direct to festivals and events across the country and this renewed partnership puts fans first,” he said.

He added, “Wembley Stadium hosts some of the biggest events in the country and fans should be able to enjoy every last minute of the match or gig, instead of stressing about traffic and the long drive back, or even missing the last train home.”
Boughton also highlighted the length of the partnership between the two organisations.
“Since joining forces with Wembley in 2007 we’ve taken hundreds of thousands of excited football fans and gig-goers directly to the stadium door and got them home safely,” he said.
For Swindon residents, the service provides access to a busy 2026 programme at Wembley. This includes the Carabao Cup Final, FA Cup Final and other major sporting fixtures, as well as concerts by Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars, Luke Combs, My Chemical Romance and The Weeknd, with more acts yet to be announced.
Mark Lynch, Stadium Director for Wembley Stadium, said National Express played an important role in managing large crowds travelling to and from the venue.
“National Express has long been a trusted and valued partner, playing a vital role in supporting sustainable and accessible travel for the millions of fans who visit Wembley each year,” he said.
“This renewal reflects our shared commitment to delivering a world-class experience for visitors, while promoting greener transport options to and from the UK’s national stadium.”
