Give Us a Wave in Swindon for Comic Relief

THIS Red Nose Day (Friday 24 March), Comic Relief supporters in Swindon can accessorise their red nose with comedy waving hand glasses.

Priced at just £2 and available at Specsavers on the High Street, all money raised from sales of the specs will be donated to Comic Relief.

The glasses come in adult and children’s sizes.

Store director David Grieves says: ‘The glasses are fantastic and we’ll be encouraging everyone who buys a pair to also join our giant Mexican wave on social media as well.

Simply strike a pose with your glasses and post with the #GiveUsAWave to receive your very own wave back.’

Members of staff will also be taking part in the fundraising fun by ditching their usual uniforms in favour of their silliest red outfits and offering delicious home-baked cakes in exchange for donations.

‘We’re always keen to support Comic Relief and are delighted to have the opportunity once again this Red Nose Day,’ David adds. ‘Every penny we raise will go towards making a difference to the lives of millions, so I’d like to encourage all of customers to visit us in store and get involved!’

Specsavers in Swindon has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.

Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015. For more information, visit Specsavers at 63-63 Regent Street, Swindon, SN1 1JS, call 01793 617858 or go to www.specsavers.co.uk/stores/swindon.
