Louise Muir-Sage, founder and CEO of Something Kind of Woo, took part in the event on Sunday 15 March. She was among around 15,000 runners who covered the city-centre route through Bath.
The annual race is one of the longest-running and most popular road events in the UK. Louise set herself a target of raising £200 from the run, contributing towards her wider goal of raising £1000 for the charity this year.
It was not her first time taking on the challenge, having previously run the same race in aid of the air ambulance service.
“I ran the Bath Half Marathon last year for the same charity. It was a challenge but one where I enjoyed every minute of it,” said Louise. “So much so, I had to go back. Knowing to take my time, enjoy the views of the beautiful city of Bath and all while raising much needed funds makes something I am committed to achieving.”
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance was established in 1988 and delivers critical medical care by land and air across the county and in Bath. The service operates a helicopter and critical care cars, responding to an average of four incidents each day.
The charity provides hospital-level treatment at the scene with a specialist team and equipment. It is entirely funded by public donations.
Louise has so far raised £365 towards her fundraising efforts.
“As someone who has lived in Wiltshire for most of my life, I have known about Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance. I first met the team when I ran the Bath Half Marathon in 2025. They were phenomenal and when I went behind the scenes at the beginning of this year, I saw the crucial work they do and how much our community relies on their services,” she said.
“This charity means a great deal to me and it’s a privilege to fundraising for them,” Louise continued. “To be supported by my family and friends has been invaluable.”
Donations to support Louise’s campaign can be made via her JustGiving page.
