The free event will take place on Saturday 10th October at New College Swindon. It will be the second Care Show of 2026 and the first to be held in partnership with SWITCH – Swindon and Wiltshire Innovative Technology Care Hub.
Organisers say the move to New College Swindon will make the event easier to access while providing more space for exhibitors. Visitors will be able to meet a wide range of organisations offering support including home care, financial planning and specialist wellbeing services, as well as see demonstrations of assistive technology designed to support independent living and patient care.
Organiser Hannah Edwards said: “We are thrilled to be working even more closely with the SWITCH team. It allows us to have more stands showcasing the different businesses that can support people with their care needs.
“Our change of venue is on a bus route so those who can’t or don’t drive can get to us and for that reason the show will take place on a Saturday. The college has an interactive room where people can take part in different types of games and our keynote speakers will focus on different aspects of care.”
SWITCH was established to bring together organisations from the health, social care and technology sectors to help develop innovative ways of supporting people.
David Panes, lecturer in Health and Care at New College Swindon, said: “This partnership highlights the importance of embedding innovation directly within care settings. Attendees benefit from meaningful engagement with new technologies, while providers gain valuable insight into practical implementation, integration and impact.
“Hosting the event with us also strengthens regional collaboration across Swindon and Wiltshire, showcasing the area as a leader in forward-thinking care and digital transformation. It supports knowledge sharing, inspires new partnerships and accelerates the adoption of solutions that can enhance patient care, improve efficiency and support the workforce.”
The Care Show was taken over last year by Swindon residents Hannah Edwards and Kevin Griffiths after their own experiences of navigating the care sector highlighted how difficult it can be to find the right support.
Hannah, who previously worked as a carer before launching her own administration and social media business, said many people are unaware of the services available to them or what support they may be entitled to.
She said: “Care is important for us all and yet it is rarely joined up.
“It’s difficult to know what you are – or are not – entitled to and it’s hard to find out what services are available. We all need care at some point in our lives, even if it’s us taking care of our mental health or our wellbeing.”
Kevin Griffiths said the event is intended to raise awareness of the care sector and the organisations supporting people across the community.
He said: “For too long, social care and wellbeing have been seen as second-class services, when in fact they are extremely important for us all. Hosting an event like this is about making a difference to people’s lives.”
Returning attractions will include care providers, will writers, financial planners and therapy horse Vino, alongside a range of new exhibitors.
He added: “The industry is so huge. It’s important people know their options and know what small businesses exist in the area that can provide professional support around any care situation that they come across.”
The Care Show Swindon will run from 10am until 2pm on Saturday 10th October at New College Swindon on Queens Drive. Entry is free, although visitors are asked to register in advance.
