A Swindon-based children’s art club has been celebrating a busy winter season, with festive workshops giving young artists the chance to explore creativity in a relaxed and supportive setting.
Let’s Create Art Club, founded in 2020 by local artist and mum Rachel Bray, runs after-school sessions, Saturday morning clubs and holiday art camps for children aged four to twelve.
The club says its focus is on offering painting, drawing, sculpture and design activities without pressure, allowing children to enjoy art in a safe and welcoming environment.
Its Christmas Art Camp, held on Sunday 22 December and Monday 23 December, was fully booked and took place at Tregoze Primary School in West Swindon.
Rachel Bray, Founder of Let’s Create Art Club, said:
“Running Art Camp is one of my favourite things to do at Let’s Create. As an artist and mum, I know firsthand how powerful and important creativity can be for a child – their confidence, resilience and well-being.”
Rachel, who was born and raised in Swindon, said she launched the club after noticing that art was often sidelined by busy family schedules and the dominance of sports-based after-school activities.

She said:
“Art Camp at Christmas is extra special because we can channel all the joy and excitement that the children arrive with into their artwork, festive creations and arty games! It’s a chance for them to make something meaningful with their hands and parents get to have heartfelt, handmade keepsakes to treasure.”
The two-day camp included Christmas-themed art projects, games, outdoor play and free creative time, allowing children to explore different ideas during the festive period.
Families went home with a range of handmade keepsakes and artwork to mark the season and welcome in the new year.
Rachel added:
“Art Camp gives children the time, space and support to express themselves and explore ideas without any pressure on the outcome and make new friends.”

She continued:
“I feel privileged to be able to help children have fun with art and to create great childhood memories, just like I experienced growing up.”
Let’s Create Art Club is a member of the Institute of Children’s Activity Providers, which sets standards for safety, inclusion and engagement.
The club was also named a finalist at the ICAP Awards 2025 in the Rising Star category for outstanding achievement in growth and vision for the future.
Bookings are now open for the new year, with places available across thirteen after-school clubs in Term Three.
