A woman was trapped in an overturned car after a dramatic crash in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision at Bruce Street Bridges at around 5pm this afternoon (Sunday).
A blue Smart car flipped over in the incident, with fire crews tasked with extricating the driver. It’s not clear if another vehicle was involved.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove parts of the vehicle – including the roof – while it remained overturned.
A woman suffered only minor injuries in the smash, and she was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The car has since been flipped back onto its wheels and recovery work was ongoing at 6.30pm. The road is likely to have been reopened by 7pm.
