Petplan, the UK’s favourite pet insurance provider, has launched a new advertising campaign, featuring customers and their pets from the Swindon area and based at Swindon’s Eastcott Vets.

Petplan Swindon

The campaign includes a series of TV adverts highlighting the special relationship between pets and their owners, the vital role veterinary practices play and the benefit of having Petplan insurance so pet owners can do the best for their pet.

Starring in one of the adverts is three year old Hungarian Viszla Boris and his owner Sharon Woodhouse. When Boris swallowed a tennis ball and needed emergency surgery to remove 18 inches of his intestine, Eastcott Vets came to his rescue and Petplan helped Sharon cover the cost of his treatment and ongoing after care.

Isabella von Mesterhazy, head of marketing at Petplan, said:

“It has been a real pleasure seeing first-hand how having Petplan insurance has helped our customers and their pets in the Swindon area. We would like to thank our customers who took part in the filming and shared stories, and Eastcott Vets and all of their wonderful staff who do such a fabulous job keeping pets healthy and their owners happy!”

Rachel Gowshall, head of marketing at Eastcott Vets commented:

“It has been a fantastic experience taking part in the filming and sharing some of our clients’ stories on the big screen as well as highlighting the wonderful work our vets, vet nurses and staff do on a day to day basis to support pets and their owners.”
