Wiltshire Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Wootton Rivers, near Marlborough.

The incident happened overnight between 12th and 13th September.

A number of items were stolen including:

– A X1 Fondriest bike
– A X1 Colnago road bike
– A Raleigh pedal bike
– Two sets of bike wheels
– A Garmin 810

As well as this, several items of bike equipment including a tyre pump and bike lock were stolen, as well climbing equipment, waterproof jackets, and tools.

PC Sarah Hardwidge said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who may have information in relation to this incident, or the whereabouts of the items stolen – have you seen them for sale or been offered them?

“We are keeping an open mind as to whether this incident is part of a spate of burglaries in the area, as we have also received reports of three other burglaries in the Wootton Rivers and Burbage areas between 12 and 16 September. During these incidents, sheds were broken into and a number of tools stolen in Heathy Close, a shed was broken into in Webbs Way although nothing was stolen and a shed in South Bank was broken into – again nothing appears to have been stolen.

“We would like residents to feel reassured that we are carrying out extensive enquiries in relation to all of these incidents. We’d urge you to be mindful of home security at all times and to report any suspicious behaviour to 101. If you think a crime is in progress, please call 999.”
