Leading retailer Argos, is on the lookout for eight Swindon-based temporary Fast Track Delivery drivers ahead of its exciting and busy Christmas shopping season.

Argos is seeking eight energetic drivers to work from its Swindon Greenbridge store.

The new recruits will be responsible for picking stock from their designated store and making same-day deliveries through Argos’s market-leading Fast Track Delivery service.

As well as possessing a full driving license with a minimum of one year’s driving experience, successful candidates must also be great communicators with a friendly and enthusiastic approach.

These roles are as much about delivering fantastic customer service as they are about driving.

Drivers will be offered an initial flexible 20-35 hour contract per week.

New team members will benefit from competitive hourly rates, a variety of shifts, being part of a fun and friendly team culture and the chance to develop new skills through training.

The roles are specifically to support the store over the Christmas period, and more hours may be offered in the run up to Christmas.

In addition, there is potential for some roles to become permanent at the end of the season, where vacancies exist.

Steve Carson, Director of Retail and Customer Operations at Argos, said: “Christmas is an extremely busy and exciting time of year for Argos with millions of customers visiting our stores over the festive season.

“We’re looking for enthusiastic, friendly and flexible people to deliver the personal service we are known for, whether customers are shopping in-store or buying online for home delivery.

“The work is fast-paced, varied and rewarding with the potential to learn a whole set of new skills. Many in the past have gone on to develop their career with us and progress to run a team, department or even store, helping to drive sales and deliver great customer service.”

Interested candidates can apply for all roles at http://argos.careers.
