Wiltshire Police appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a mobility scooter in Swindon.

The incident happened at approximately 6pm on Monday 2 October.

A 59-year-old man was crossing the pedestrian crossing just up from Groundwell Industrial Estate on Thamesdown Drive on his mobility scooter.

A vehicle is believed to have passed through a red light, hitting the man’s scooter.

He fell to the ground and the vehicle continued in the direction of the Moonrakers pub, without making any attempt to stop.

A member of the public helped the man from the ground. He sustained cuts to his leg and the scooter was damaged as a result.

The vehicle is believed to have been dark blue and possibly a Ford Mondeo.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Call police on 101 if you have any information.
