Wiltshire Police is appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in Swindon town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning (9 April 2017).

The incident happened outside Casa Del Burger and Fries in Theatre Square around 4.25am.

It’s believed an unknown male came from the nearby Medina nightclub and punched the woman to the head causing her to be knocked unconscious.

She received minor injuries and concussion.

A CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to in relation to this incident is attached.

PC James Rodrigues said:  “We are appealing for witnesses to this assault or to anything that appeared suspicious in this area in the early hours of Sunday.

“This is a popular part of town for people who are or who have been for a night out and I would imagine someone would have seen something.

“The man in question is described as having distinctive clothing and shoes.
“Please come forward if you can help us in anyway.”

If you can help with our enquiries please contact PC James Rodrigues on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
