Groups in the Swindon area which help older people now have another few weeks to apply for a £250 grant, which is being given by care at home provider Bluebird Care.

The grant is part of Bluebird Care’s commitment to supporting organisations which themselves support older people. The company has already run two public events, bringing together groups supporting older people, so they can showcase their services.

Groups now have until January 31 to apply. For more details or to request an application form, email [email protected] or telephone Michael Auton on 07862 253514. Forms can also be picked up from the Bluebird Care office in Suite E6, Gemini House, Groundwell Industrial Estate.

Ben Curtis, Bluebird Care Director, said: “We want to work with a local project that gives older people an opportunity to try something new and that will add benefit to their lives. Examples of the type of projects we are looking for could include gardening, leisure, recreational, help with day trips or musical activities.”
