Halloween is almost upon us, so now is the time to start pulling together a last minute costume if you haven’t already found something to dress up as.
If, for whatever reason, you fancied dressing as a clown this Halloween, then you could find yourself in trouble.
Thanks to the vast number of people who have recently been dressing up as clowns, scaring children and carrying weapons or threatening items, Thames Valley Police have issued a warning about dressing up as clowns this Halloween.
Chief Superintendent Andy Boyd told the Evening Standard: “Some of the behaviour that is being reported would lead to arrest.
“We don’t want to spoil the Halloween fun, but we do want people to feel comfortable and safe”.
“You need to consider the ramifications of your actions and how you are making people feel. You may be arrested if you are putting people in fear.”
Be sure to report any people dressed up as clowns that are acting in a threatening or strange way so that we can make other local residents aware.
