Wiltshire Police are appealing for information after a suspicious incident
in Eldene, Swindon.

On Wednesday 19 October 2016, around midday, a man knocked on the door of a house in Ecklington and asked the woman who answered if he could use her phone.

When she refused he became very persistent and angry but eventually stormed off.

She then found a line drawn in chalk on her front garden gate which wasn’t there before.

The man is described as in his mid 20’s, 5ft 6″ tall, very slim and wearing a blue/red lumberjack shirt, light blue jeans and carrying a green satchel.

He also wore gold rimmed glasses and spoke with a local accent.

PC Lisa Draper said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a man matching this description or anyone acting suspiciously in this area around this time.
“Also, please come forward if you have experienced a similar incident.”

If you can help with our enquiries please contact PC Lisa Draper on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
