From Friday 27 February 2026 to Monday 2 March 2026, streets across Eastcott and some in Old Town will be illuminated by handmade window displays created by local residents. The event will run each evening from 6pm to 9pm, inviting people to explore the neighbourhood on foot.
Homes and businesses will once again become part of a walking trail, forming an outdoor gallery of light, colour and creativity. The event is designed to be enjoyed by both residents and visitors.
Organisers have suggested the theme Hope for 2026, although participants are not required to follow it. They say creativity comes first, with all ideas and styles welcome.
Free materials will be available to help households take part throughout February. These can be collected on Sundays 1, 8, 15 and 22 February between 2pm and 4pm at Eastcott Community Centre.

Volunteers and experienced window makers will be available at the sessions to offer guidance and encouragement. Organisers say no previous experience is needed to get involved.
Residents are being encouraged to register in advance so their display can be included on the official event map. This helps visitors follow the full trail and ensures no window is missed.
Organisers are hoping to welcome back regular participants while also attracting people taking part for the first time. They stress that the event is about collective impact rather than individual perfection.
With planning already under way, the event is expected to once again showcase community spirit in Swindon and celebrate creativity across Eastcott (and Old Town).
